Tom Wilson to represent Great Britain at Fort William DH World Cup - MTB Monster

Posted by Paul Hoyle on 23rd May 2018

A huge congratulations from everyone at MTB Monster to our sponsored rider Tom Wilson for being picked to represent Great Britain in the Fort William Downhill World Cup DH Race. This event has got to be the pinnacle of the UK mountain bike racing calendar and we're super-stoked to hear that Tom has been selected out of a huge talent base to represent Team GB.

Since 2014 Tom has been racing both Enduro and Downhill and when he left school he moved up to Scotland to study mountain biking at Dirtschool (Glentress, Scotland). Being taught how to "send it like a pro" on a daily basis has taken his skills to the the next level and his results have consistently improved year and year.

While everyone knew Tom was committed & fast , after witnessing Tom taking his first win at the Grizedale PMBA in 2017, he started to turn heads not only from his results but his crowd pleasing style ....

With Tom's move to the elite category this season, as well as becoming an Orange Bikes Factory Team rider, the news of riding for team GB a Fort William really is the icing on the cake !

It's great to see a dedicated local lad doing so well! Good luck at Fort Bill :)
